Goodwill
Waterville’s Goodwill store—a popular stop for Colby students—is full of all kinds of useful, and random, stuff.
Ever wonder where L.L.Bean sends the items that come back because of its generous return and guarantee policies? A lot of that stuff goes to Maine’s Goodwill stores, including the one in Waterville.

A dull florescence illuminates the aisles of Waterville’s Goodwill, which overflows with oversized sweaters, winter jackets, holiday décor, camouflage, and other articles of clothing reminiscent of your grandparents’ wardrobe—but versatile enough to be in yours. Many Colby students assemble Halloween costumes from Goodwill finds, but visits to the store aren’t solely saved for special occasions and holidays. Flannels and fleeces are among students’ ordinary favorites, as are the prices.
