Bonjour de Paris!
Bonjour à tous from the city of lights!
The theme of my study abroad experience thus far has been “Do as the Parisians do.” Each day I wake with a pastry and a hefty amount of Nutella, follow the mobs of people onto the metro on my way to school, drink copious amounts of espresso, and speak French to the best of my ability. For someone born and raised in central Maine, the rhythm of life in Paris has been a culture shock, but I’ve quickly grown to love the busy streets, the diverse population, and, of course, the French bakeries on every corner.
