Robotics on the Hill
Bogo Giertler '12, a native of Warsaw, Poland, designed an interface enabling robot control through iPhones and iPads. His design won him a scholarship to the Worldwide Apple Developers Conference in San Francisco, Calif., where he demonstrated his technology at the conference by using an iPad to control a robot (across the country) at the Colby Art Museum. Bogo's work is part of an ongoing project known as the Museum Robot Project. This summer with computer science professor, Bruce Maxwell, Leah Perlmutter '12 and Martha Witick '12 are on campus programming face-recognition software within the robot.
