Tom started taking photos at 13, when he purchased a manual 35mm SLR and began photographing the world around him.  Growing up in the picturesque Western Massachusetts town of Amherst, Tom came to especially love nature photography. Tom also enjoys alpine skiing at bad New England mountains, backpacking above tree line, cycling long distances, and doing crossword puzzles. At Colby, Tom is quite busy working for insideColby and The Echo, where he is the assistant photo editor.
